After locating these facts, reflect on why people would want to engage in these types of extreme activities. Why would someone do that? Would you? Why or why not? Is it worth it to risk you life just to do something like this? I believe someone would participate in dangerous activities like climbing Mt. Everest because they are aware of how fun it would be, but are not aware of the danger of it before they get serious about doing it. For example, if i was to go skydiving with a friend and set aside a date to go, than I would call and set it up. Well, when I am on the phone, they aren't going to tell me the dangers of skydiving. Instead, they are going to tell you that when you have to sign papers (once you are already committed). If I didn't know about the dangers of exploring extremes than I probably wouldn't think twice about climbing Everest if given a chance, because it just isn't worth risking your life for something like that.
