Foreign Policy Acts

The Panama Canal Tolls Act (1912) exempted all US shipping from paying tolls. Since Britain protested, Wilson repealed in 1914.

The Jones Act (1916) granted the Philippines territorial status and independence as soon as they could establish a stable government. (1946)
