Foreign Policy Acts

The Panama Canal Tolls Act (1912) exempted all US shipping from paying tolls. Since Britain protested, Wilson repealed in 1914.

The Jones Act (1916) granted the Philippines territorial status and independence as soon as they could establish a stable government. (1946)

    While "Phillipined" is a fascinating idea for a new verb, let's use only recognized terms in our blog posts :)
    Also, please consider revisiting the title of your blog, something more like "Noodlin' Through History with Joe"?
    The WHITEhawk vs. BLACK hawk might strike someone as odd.
