The LaFollette Seaman's Act of 1915 was passed under Wilson. It gave sailors on US merchant ships decent treatment and a living wage. it crippled the US merchant marine as it caused freight rates and wages to go up.
The Workers Compensation Act of 1916 gave federal civil service employees assistance when they were disabled.
