In Ethiopia, issues such as poverty, deforestation, desertification, and soil erosion are some pressing issues that are preventable (except desertification). By researching these topics, I have found that Ethiopia is an unidustialized 3rd world country that is 85% agricultural (labor force). Anyways, deforestation to make way for farmland has resulted in soil erosion. Being the poverty stricken country that it is, it needs to industrialize, as to get the labor force away from agriculture and towards urban working. By accomplishing this, Ethiopia will require less farmland, which will cut down on the deforestation, which will cut down on soil erosion.
